Low milk supply

Those of you who say to nurse on demand to help higher milk supply, how many of you actually did this, and how long did it take before you noticed a change?

The milk transfer for me and baby is 1.7oz per feeding, at a month old. He loses weight with that much so I have to supplement. I nurse at EVERY feeding for 30minutes and drink 32oz of water, at EVERY feeding. With that being said please dont tell me to nurse more often or to drink more water. I have an appt with my Lactation consultant tuesday and am going to ask. I feed him if hes hungry- I dont make him wait to eat. He barely eats at the 3hour mark
