Anyone whose baby poops only once in 10 days? Exclusively breastfed babes that is

My 16 week old is exclusively breastfed. She hadnt pooped in 10 days. Today is the 10th day and she pooped but the initial bit was like this (pic attached) sticky ! then later whatever came towards the end was loose and watery. Is this normal? Is she constipated? Do I need to drink more fluids? Is that why this is happening?? Anyone experienced this?

Yea I’d talk to dr ASAP. EBF babies shouldn’t have poop that thick looking. Color is actually decent but that looks like a sticky and thick paste. And anything longer than 5-6 days should be worrisome.

My baby was the same way for a little while, but her poops were always watery. The thickness looks like a reason to consult with a doctor.

I'd talk to your Dr. about hydration, it looks to thick. I agree that color and composition looks good though.
About frequency, my Dr calls my daughter a "retainer." At two months she started a spell where she didn't poop for 8 days at a time. The poops were soupy though, so her hydration was fine. The doctor checked her out and gave her a clean bill of health. Every poopy diaper was a blow out though due to the accumulation over the days 😨 We developed a Poop-Con scale of horror.
At 4 months now, she poops every 3-5 days. Still a soupy mess, but more a more manageable load. It usually able to stay in her diaper. The doctor continues to giver her a clean bill of health and says it's just her cycle. She's hydrated and growing well!

Oh wow, that is way too thick for ebf. Could have been constipation. Has it passed? Back to normal?

That’s pretty thick for an EBF baby. I’d check it out just to be sure honestly.

My son is EBF & is 18 weeks old.. he still has watery poops & he does go at every diaper change. Doctor said it’s normal for him to go once a week, but if it goes any longer to call her up.. every baby is different though. I’d let your doctor know how long he’s going between poops to see if she’s concerned at all
