Drunken words

So my ex husband confessed that he still loved me and I meant more than anything in the world to him. He was drunk. I don’t know whether to believe him or not, while sober he is still lovable and always comes to my rescue but don’t tell me he loves me or anything. We divorced feb 2017 and we’ve never left one another’s side. We’ve both had a relationship since then but they never worked out, he says his didntwork because he still loves me and mine didn’t work because I wasn’t happy and I still have feelings for him. I ’m so confused because I still love him a lot!! Do I believe his drunken words???
