Would you rather.....

This may not be very controversial however in my household it is. My boyfriend and I come from very different corners of the world, literally. I was born in America and grew up pretty poor until my parents got on their feet when I was around 13. My boyfriend is from west Africa and actually came from a family with wealth. To him, money is everything. He’s not greedy or anything but he will work and work until he has thousands in savings. I appreciate his work effort but when does it become too much? We are expecting a little one and we are still financially stable but he would rather work then take an hour from work to attend an appointment every so often. The work hours take times from us and our relationship. I personally would rather be poor and happy. Is there such thing as too much money?
