Sorry if it's a stupid question... but when I got into this journey of TTC I expected it to be so much easier than it is. I always had this naive thought that once you get rid of BC it'll just happen. I was just wondering why it so hard for so many people who don't have any fertility problem and do everything by the book...Can someone explain?

I think sometimes the fertilised egg just doesn't implant. Apparently it is thought that this happens to up to 50% of all fertilised eggs.

the odds of getting pregnant each month for a healthy couple is only like 25 percent I believe, with only a brief window to get pregnant each month it can still take time. it will happen. everything in life worth having takes some time.

An egg can be fertilized and still die before implantation, or die after implanting before you would test positive on a HPT. These are called early losses, chemical pregnancies, etc.
