Need some help ladys

So about a year me and my husband been trying to get pregnant well I having been getting my period never missed any till we stared trying made me mad BC now we are trying and I don't get them so I don't know when I'm late or what and ppl tell me you can get pregnant if you don't get your period? Is that so well his time I was on the pill to get my period and it did then we tryed my period should come today but haven't idk if its just BC I haven't been getting them like I should or what but my nipples have been hurting so bad and I never had that before like its only my nipples and I cant lay on them or anything it hurts so bad should I take a test or am I just over thinking by I want a baby so bad
