Why does free insurance cover more?

It's such bullshit I pay $336 for insurance and I have to pay delivery costs, but Medicaid is free, and covers everything.

It’s so frustrating I know!! We barely qualify for Medicaid for my son right now. I’m uninsured now. I had private insurance during my pregnancy and birth though. It is insane how much I’ve been billed for vs seeing how much Medicaid pays them and they accept. And since I quit and still had such a high balance on my acct I called to arrange payment plans, they won’t allow it because I had insurance at the time of service. And it all just seems like there’s no inbetween for medical insurance. You either qualify for Medicaid or you pay an insane premium and still get billed a shit ton.
