Is it safe to use nasal spray while pregnant?

Hey Everyone, I’m 8wks and I just came down with a cold and I’m having a hard time breathing thru my nose. I have tried Vick’s vaporub but it doesn’t really help. Does anyone know if it’s safe to use nasal spray when pregnant?

Arm & hammer nasal spray is just saline/ salt water. It is one of the few products that is on my approved list PLUS says safe to use during pregnancy right on the packaging.

On my safe list from the OB, it says to limit meds in first trimester but Afrin is on the list as long as not longer than 3 days of use. I have used it several times (I’m 9.5 weeks) bc my OB said the occasional spray is fine, and it’s better for me to sleep! I have been soooo stopped up this first trimester. I’d ask your doctor what theyre ok with and go with that. Flonase is also on the safe list.
