True labor or false labor??

Question

I am currently 1 day away from being 36 weeks, I work at a salon, and I've been having period like cramps with back pain and pelvic pressure!

I got off work went home and laid down, not sure exactly what to do because I would hate to go in and them send me home..

Period like cramps, back pain and pressure are pretty much the definition of the last few weeks of pregnancy, especially when you work a job and are on your feet all day.

Drink some water, take a bath and rest. If it eases up, it's false labor.

What you need to watch for is contractions that are coming regularly. If you can time them and they start building up intensity and don't ease up with a change of position or rest then it's likely the real deal. Most of the time women will know when it's the real thing.

When I was pregnant with my first, if I had any doubt then I assumed it was false and I was correct. With my second there was no doubt and I went in and I was 6cm. Listen to your body!

If you change positions or walk, eat, sleep, shower, and drink and they stop then it's false labor. Also, if they are irregular contractions then it's likely false labor. That's what I learned in birth class anyways! It never hurts to go in though if you think it's the real deal.

True labor contractions you will know!!! They HURT!! They are extremely intense. You might however, be in early stages. Good luck with everything!!

Drink a lot of water and if you stand for long periods of time just try to sit down from time to time.
