Corn starch for a diaper rash?

We have been dealing with a horrible rash for a month now, and I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Nothing changed in her diet, no new wipes, I even used wet cloth instead, and no new diapers. I have not tried corn starch yet. And no it’s not yeast. :( I’m all out of ideas 😩 she screams every time I change her poor butt.

Sudocream has been my favourite thing for a diaper rash!   One layer of it and the rash is healed within a day or two.

If you're not opposed to using animal products, then lanolin (same stuff you use on your nipples if you breastfeed) usually does the trick.
My mum never bothered to buy diaper creams, this was her one and only product. I have a tube from before we decided not to use animal products and we only use it when we have a really bad rash. Works like a charm.

Have you tried using egg white on her bum.. don’t use the yolk just the white but dab it on her bum leave it to dry then put her nappy on.. it’s a old way of getting rid of nappy rash my mum used it on me and I’ve done it with my boys when they had bad nappy rash.. it worked a treat..

honestly if its pee use a dry cloth pat the area, let her air out from the diaper for 20-30 minuets I use to do that with my daughter she would get diaper rashes so bad it left scaring low and behold she was allergic to the diaper good luck!

my son just had a really bad rash and I started using sudocream. It works so well his rash was pretty much gone the next day

haven't seen it mentioned here yet. when my daughter gets a bad rash, baking soda in her bath helps practically overnight. Motrin also can help take the inflammation down. just two different ideas for you. also, I've tried so many butt creams and pastes and everything. for my daughter (def not true for every child) nothing really did anything. I just dry well and slather in Vaseline or aquaphor.       if it persists another week, I'd pressure the ped for an in person appt. and of course be cautious not to inhale any corn starch dust (you or babe) if you go that route
