Menstruating & ovulating at the same time?

AF arrived last Tuesday and it ended like Saturday-yesterday. Yesterday it felt like I was ovulating cause I was having that sensitive sensation in my ovaries but I just kinda dismissed it and now today I'm having pinching on my ovaries and it also makes me feel like I'm ovulating. But my thing is that I'm still shedding old blood from AF. I know you can ovulate RIGHT at the end of your period but I don't have a short luteal phase. My periods are always 28 days apart so could I be ovulating while ending my period? And if not, what could be causing this pain right after AF? Like yesterday I was cramping for like 10 mins, like wtf?
