Concerned about preterm labor (TMI in text)

I'm currently 34+4 and spent a few hours yesterday at l&d. My doctor's office sent me over when I called to tell them I'd had my blood show and some cramping/back pain. Thankfully it was only false labor as the mild contractions resolved themselves after a couple hours and the bloody discharge went from somewhat red to only brown and then gone. However the doctor on call said I was measuring 1cm and approximately 50% effaced. I know I could stay at this stage for weeks but I'm concerned it raises my chances for delivering early. Any experiences to share? If I can just get her to hang in there another couple weeks I won't be as worried. Thankfully baby girl is perfectly happy and healthy in there and not engaged yet.
