Strange lump on nipple TMI

I’ve been breastfeeding my daughter for almost 2 years. I have a small lump on my left nipple. It’s been there for a few months now, It‘s very hard, doesn’t hurt at all! I tried to stick it with a needle because I read it could be a clogged duct but nothing came out. It’s never alarmed me but my husband told me I should get it checked out. I’ll be making an appointment tomorrow. Does anyone happen to know what it may be?
