Diaper blowouts at daycare?

Okay I’m confused, my daughter 5.5 months old only has “blowouts” at daycare. She poops at home on the weekend and yes they’re large but we change her immediately and she rarely has a blowout. 
Every day this week and most of last week she has come home in her back up outfit because of a blowout. 
We recently upped her to a larger diaper and even tried switching brands… now we are wondering if the gal who watches our baby maybe lets her sit in her dirty diaper and that’s why it’s getting on her clothes? 
I’ll also note that I truly don’t think she changes our baby more than once a day… maybe twice and she’s there from 7:45-4:45. Is that normal? Am I just quick to change her dirty/wet diaper and I don’t need to be?

I work in the infant room at a daycare and I will tell you that if this person is only changing your child once or twice a day, i would be speaking to someone in charge immediately! I changed diapers every 3-4 hours but checked for dirty diapers constantly throughout the day. 
But honestly if it’s something that you are concerned about I would go ahead and talk to the person. I know for me I was so grateful to have parents come to me with concerns so I could fix the problem immediately. I know not everyone is like that but if it was my kid I would be asking questions.

Ok blowouts are normal but not changing the baby is not. Legally where I am they have to change the diaper every 2 hours. We get a report at the end of the day with when she had diaper changes and if they were dry,wet or poop. If you provide the diapers you should be able to tell if she’s needing more a lot or not. 
That being said my daughter did have blowouts literally every single day until she was like 9 months old. She’s a pooping machine and idk it always blew out almost no matter what. At home at daycare everywhere. Now she never does thank god!

Do you provide the diapers daily? So you can count and keep track? Because one or two diaper changes definitely isn’t acceptable. 
And blowouts can happen, even if she’s changing your daughter right away.

blow outs are common at this age.  i had 3 babies so this was common ..from 4 to 18 months.  try giving a set amount of diapers. see how many she uses. its common to change every 2 to 3 hours unless baby poops lots.  your baby is growing tons and will eat more..hence more poop

Does your baby get diaper rash that a huge sign of knowing if she’s letting your baby sit in it and does she have anything like showing how many changes and at what times if the day and weather it was pee or bowel movement because my sons day care has this for me to read each time i pick him up and showing times if when he ate and how much and naps and what he did all day and played with maybe of not you could ask for something like this but if she’s not changing the baby but once or even twice a day I’d be so furious and would look for other care my son is always in a fresh diaper when I pick him up and I don’t always pick him up at a exact same time each day so they never know when I’ll show up

Blow outs happen. Most of my sons blow outs happen at his daycare. But they only change him twice a day?! That’s absurd my sons daycare change him every hour and use the one wipe rule. If that’s what they are doing you need to be saying something .

I will say my kid has more blowouts if he is in his walker or a high chair at the time of the poop. His positioning I think is what pushes the poop up his back. So we have a lot of blowouts at daycare because he plays in a walker or bouncer at different times of the day

It might be that the caregiver puts the diaper on differently? But if you’re concerned they’re not changing her that needs to be brought to attention. My daycare changes diapers every 2 hours starting at the top of the hour after I drop him off (I drop him off at 7:30 first change is at 8), except poops get changed immediately, and they kept a log of every change and if it was wet or dirty or both. That was pretty standard when we were looking at different daycares so I’d be worried if that isn’t happening at yours.

Our 10 month old has never had a leak or blowout before so if she were coming home from a daycare in her backup outfit due to “blowouts”, I’d be speaking to the director. I worked as an infant toddler teacher for years and we changed them at every meal, before and after naps and whenever else it was necessary throughout the day. It was incredibly rare we ever had a blowout in our classroom. So it’s definitely on the teacher.

In the daycares where I live it is regulated that they have to change your LO's diaper every 2 hours unless they are completely bone dry. There is absolutely no reason to leave a child in their dirty diaper for hours on end during the day, it is not like they are sleeping 5+ hours in a row. It just isn't hygenic.
