My partner wants to go into the army..

Hey guys, so my fiancée recently told me she wants to go into the army. We are a same sex couple and have been together for 5 years.. she’s a plumber/maintenance engineer and when she told me my initial reaction was that it would be over between us, she wants us to have a family and buy a house but I would practically be raising our child by myself and running the house singlehandedly whilst working too... I have recently been sat thinking about everything and I feel so rubbish for not supporting what she wants in life...

How would you feel if this was your partner? Do any of you have children and a partner in the army? Could I have all of your opinions please🖤
