Lying about birth control?

I’ve seen and heard so many stories lately of girls around my age (early 20s) lying about birth control and then “oops I’m pregnant!!” My friends tell me this like they have achieved something epic and I’m just over here like how the hell did you ever decide that was a proper way to have a baby!?!? I understand a true accident (pregnant twice on the pill as a teen both ended in miscarriage) and now at 22 my bf and I have mutually agreed to stop preventing a child and just live life as we normally would until it happens. Been 7 months and still no baby which I’m not worried about. But it concerns me how many people I know that have lied to have kids... that can’t be healthyfor the relationship later on... lies always come out somewhere. Any other thoughts on this?
