Where do babies come from???

When I was younger I used to think if you kissed a boy u got pregnant and that the baby comes out of your belly button. What r some weird things you believed in when u were younger????

My mom told me when I was younger that you need to think about having a baby before you get pregnant and so I thought that if you think about having a baby then you’ll get pregnant right away. So I was always afraid to think about having babies cause I thought that I would get pregnant that way😂😂

That’s exactly what I believed. Except I thought it was kissing with tongue. Because when I was a kid that’s all they showed in movies. Making out under the sheets. So that’s how I thought it was done 😂

I used to think you had the option of giving birth through your vagina or pooping out your baby, and i remember thinking that if i was going to have a kid that i wanted to poop it out 😂

I thought that if you held hands for more than 3 seconds you’d get pregnant and  you pressed the belly button and the baby would arrive 😂😭

You thought that babies came from bellybuttons and I thought that babies could see out of bellybuttons, like you could a window or a peephole. Just some weird thing that I came up with when I was little.

I was the youngest sibling and the two cousins that were younger than me were only a year or two behind, so I never had an experience with someone close to me being pregnant and having a baby. The question never came up for me.
My 5yo daughter, however, thinks about it sometimes. She's never asked directly, but she's pieced together over time that a woman simply tells her "baby factory" that she's ready, and then upon cuddling with a man, would suddenly be pregnant 🙃 I'm not ready for this talk with her yet 😭
She's asked for the story of her birth as a bed time story, so that gave me an opening to explain how babies come out, and why I was sliced open for her to be pulled out of me 🙃
