Membrane Sweep

I’m 38 weeks and I don’t have an actual appointment until the day before my due date. We’re being seen at a military hospital and they were all full when it was time to schedule me. I have NSTs twice a weeks and the lady said that she will just have whoever is in L&D; check me when I’m 38 weeks. I’ve been experiencing prodromal labor for almost a week now and want to ask if they will do a membrane sweep today. Has anyone asked and gotten it before 40 weeks?
