How long would you wait for him to pop the question?

I’m 3 years, 11 months, and 0 days (and counting) in, and he still doesn’t know apparently... Haven’t gotten even the slightest hint that he could be ready.
(Yes, we’ve talked about hypothetical children and where/how we’d live, BUT last we talked a few months ago about the topic of ACTUALLY getting married, he’s still just not sure and isn’t ready... 😭😩)
Not sure how much more of myself I have left to show him for him to decide. Like... this is kind of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I love him and we’re good to each other, but I’m just wondering at this point, after almost 4 years, how does he not know? Maybe I’m just not “the one” for him... 😔

My goal is to be with someone who will commit with me and love and respect me for life. Not merely getting married. I wouldn't give up on my SO if he took 10 years to propose. As I said, I love him, not the idea of getting married.

If getting engaged is a deal breaker, maybe you should reconsider the relationship. I waited 4 years, but would have waited 40. I love my man regardless of my ring, and I'll be with him forever regardless.

All these people saying they’d wait forever for their BF to propose... no you damn well wouldn’t. If he is wishy washy and still doesn’t know if he wants a “forever” with you, after a certain amount of time you would leave.
Most women want to wait to have kids until they’re married— so all you saying you’d wait forever, you’re telling me you would jump into having kids knowing your boyfriend still isn’t sure about a forever with you? Or are you saying you’d wait forever to have kids because that’s not a priority in life... ?

every couple is different. what matters is how long you think its worth waiting for. if you think youve waited long enough then you should move on. personally, marriage isnt that important to me so i wouldnt put a timeline on it. im not trying to get married. however you know its something that you want and youre obviously paying close attention to how much time has passed. it seems very much something that is important to you

I waited 5 years for him to get his head out of his butt and then on e we finally got together I gave him a year and then said we were going that day to buy my ring. He proposed 4 days later and tomorrow is our 10th wedding anniversary.
