Hi, I was having a little conversation about this with my friend as was wondering what people’s opinion was

I personally don’t appreciate being called a ‘big girl’ but I have referred to myself as it before now. My friend doesn’t mind it, we’re both UK16 and she just says it’s ‘how it is’ so why should she be offended etc.

I’m not sure if there’s just a negative vibe to the word, or if it’s just my insecurities that don’t like it.

I’ve known girls who hate being referred to as skinny, too, and some that love it. I was just wondering about people’s opinions on the matter. Would it bother you? Would you use a different word?
