Does your baby have a lovey?

How did you get baby to take a lovey? Or did they just kinda taken to it themselves. Also, What is the lovey they carry?

my daughter has gotten attached to a stuffed Stormtrooper somehow. she prefers him over her other toys.

I don't really get it, but more power to her.

My son has a little stuffed donkey in his crib. He just loves him.

I just started giving my son his lovey when he was tired or fussy. As of right now, he uses it to sooth himself. It is not something he NEEDS tho.  This may change, but im hoping to use it as a transition away from the paci when the time comes. My son uses a jellycat lovey, its super soft and he loves rubbing it between his fingers and on his face. I bought 2 more and rotate between them so they get equal love. I am hoping that if by chance one gets lost, a potential melt down will be avoided by my prior planning haha. Silly? Maybe.
