Is it safe for pregnant women to fast?

Hello! So Ramadan is starting on Thursday and being a Muslim, fasting is one of our 5 pillars that we follow. We are not suppose to eat or drink anything from sunrise until sunset. The purpose of this is to think of those less fortunate than you, to get closer to God and to remove your sins. Last year, I got pregnant AFTER Ramadan and had a miscarriage 3 months later. I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant, and I’m so scared that something might happen to my baby if I fast this year. What if I’m dehydrated and it’s bad for the baby? What if my baby isn’t getting the nutrients it needs? It is permissible for a BREAST FEEDING women to not fast because she needs to feed her baby. So I’m thinking maybe the same might able to a pregnant women? I don’t want to be the only one not fasting because 1) nobody knows I’m pregnant but my husband and 2) I feel bad as a Muslim for not fasting like I should be. But of course the safety of my child is lingering on my mind. So what do y’all think? Is it safe to fast while pregnant? Also, I currently don’t have a doctor yet to ask so I’m asking y’all!
