“Not the kind of girl you bring home to mom”

What would you do if your new boyfriend said he couldn’t trust you because you’re too flirty and because of a job you had over 2 years ago (waitress in a club) way before he met you and because of all of this, that you weren’t the kind of girl you brought home?

It really hurt my feelings and I asked why if he felt that way, then why was he was still slumming it with me and he said because he liked me?

But how can he feel that way about me and still like me?
