Implant?

Im getting nexplanon in a month or so and im kinda stressing out about it actually being put in my arm. I have always hated shots and when I even think about it I get shaky and nervous. im super nervous ill move my arm and make it hurt worse but getting it would make my life way easier. please help!

I hate all of that but the dr was so chill. He worked on my left arm while I stared at the right wall the entire time. I felt my fingers go numb but I thought I could still feel the injection sight and he was ready to put it in and I thought for sure I was gunna feel it get inserted. Turns out I didn’t feel a thing. Maybe a slight pinch but nothing more. He talked me through it and the nurse was great. The thing that got me was he had me feel it in my arm before I left so I knew he put it in right and that’s when I got quiesy and light headed. I walked out acting like I was cool and chill. If this happens to you don’t. Lol tell your dr you’re light headed and he will help you right there and then. Don’t be the hero like I wanted to be. But it’s a great option for birth control! Wouldn’t change it.

The procedure is very quick, and the numbing shot is even quicker. Just look away and/or talk to the doctor during it & u will be fine.

I'm TERRIFIED of needles and got nexplanon in. It wasn't too bad, it felt like getting blood drawn. And if you're still scared just remember that it's the most effective method and it's better than having a kid
