baby shower for second baby??

what are everyone's thoughts? mine would be 7 years apart so obviously we have nothing lol also what if it's a different gender??? tacky or no?

I don’t see the problem  I didn’t even know it was a thing to not have a baby shower each time until I got this app and people would talk about it with questions like this. 
A close friend of mine had 3 boys, all 1-2 years apart.. had a shower for each boy. 
I our area a baby shower is to celebrate a new baby 🤷🏼‍♀️

So I think that having kids close together of the same gender you shouldn’t need another one but it’s their choice. If having a baby of a different gender then you should. Most definitely I would if mine were 7 years apart.

Girl do it!! Especially with 7 years difference!! You probably don't even have any baby stuff anymore!! But I'm all about 2nd and 3rd baby showers no matter the distance! To me it's about celebrating new life and not necessarily just about getting presents!!

We are. My kids are 10.5 years apart and this is my husband’s first. My older son is from my first marriage. We literally had/have nothing for a baby aside from the couple outfits we bought and we’ve been buying diapers as well. So we need everything, so our families and my best friend is throwing us a shower.

I think it definitely depends on the situation. In your case where you don’t have baby things anymore since your kids are seven years apart it’s totally acceptable. If your kids were closer in age and you still have your baby stuff it’s tacky.

we had a baby shower because we have a 7yr old daughter and this baby is a boy. I personally wouldn't have a shower if my babies were close together but in our cases I say go for it!

I don’t think it’s tacky, especially since you’re having a child after 7 years. Most people just have sprinkles to celebrate the births of their other children so you could definitely look into that as well.

I think it’s ok if they’re that far apart and if someone offers to throw it for you, other than your parents or his parents. I only think it’s tacky if the baby’s parents throw the shower or if the babies are really close together. Then it needs to be more of a sprinkle or something like that.
