Annoyed

Paige • 12/27/18 👶🏻

So, I’m 9w+1 and I found out when I was 4w. I had to wait to get a doctors appointment to get my pregnancy confirmed to start the insurance process. I was 7w 6d when I finally got to the doctors, just to piss in a cup and tell me what I already knew. So I finally get the whole insurance situation going and, I finally get the letter in the mail saying that I’ve applied and they are processing my case. I call the Doctors to schedule an appointment, to start basic prenatal care and get an ultra sound and some testing I want to get done. Well I tell her I would like to get in as early as humanly possible because I haven’t seen a doctor except to piss in a cup. She types and look and looks and looks like what feels like for ever and finally tells me the soonest she has is June 18th at 3pm (that’s my birthday). BUT what sets a fires under my ass I’m still not getting an ultra sound or being able to hear a heart beat. I’m just going in to fill out paper work because I’ve never gone through them before. I’m going to be 12w+4 by the time my appointment is here, then I have to schedule another doctors appointment to get an ultra sound and hear a heart beat, lord knows how long that will be.

Everyone I’ve ever known to be pregnant got an ultra sound between 7-8 weeks and I have to wait until I’m in my second trimester and it makes me so mad. I can’t afford to give you a $500 deposit on a 2,000 prenatal care plan, not including L&D.; I’m a “single” mom who barley brings in 1200 gross income monthly, so why is everything taking for long for me to get approved? Why can’t I see my baby and hear their heart beat? Am I just being overly annoyed or did anyone else ho through this? I just want to see my baby and heart his/her heart beat.
