I’m a high school junior and I plan on losing my virginity to my bf soon. I trust him, but I’m really nervous. Is there anything I should know, or anything I can do to calm my anxiety?

Just know that you trust him and keep things slow and “basic” don’t let him force you do anything you don’t want to do

Go to a gynecologist to have an exam and get birth control FIRST. Have him have a STD test and actually see the results with your own eyes.

I was super nervous when i lost my virginity in high school to my bf as well. Remember to not put pressure on yourself and really just try to enjoy something special to yourself and your bf. Communicate with him throughout too!! Nothing you say or feel will be wrong or stupid. I wish i knew that then, because i know it to be very true now

I recommend waiting until you don’t feel anxiety - you should feel like you’re ready and know that he’s the one you want to lose it to.  You are so young!  I recommend waiting until you’re in college - high school boys are immature ;) and be sure you’re okay with the potential consequences that could result, e.g. pregnancy and emotional distress (if you break up).  Losing your virginity is a big deal and should be special and on your terms so that you never regret it.  Just my two cents! :)
