To Rock ‘n Play or not Rock ‘n Play?

Question

I bought a baby sleeper/rocker from Marshall’s early on in my pregnancy because I was so excited to start buying stuff but it needs to be rocked manually. I’m thinking about selling it and getting a Rock ‘n Play. The Amazon returns store near us has a brand new one for $30. I’ve bought a lot of stuff from there and it all works great. However I’ve read quite a few reviews about the Rock ‘n Play in general in regards to the motor breaking after a month or two.
Do you think it’s worth getting the Rock ‘n Play and selling the manual rocker? I also have a Mamaroo but would like to have one on each floor of my house, or maybe baby will prefer one over the other. FTM and I’m almost 38 weeks! Thanks, mamas!

every mom I've talked to says the rock n play has been a life saver... thankfully my bff gave me hers.

We would have never made it as new parents without the rock n play. That baby taco is a life saver!! It’s great to put next to the sofa for momma to nap and baby to rock and sleep.

With number one we loved our swing, rock n play, etc. Looking back, we felt like all of those things made it really hard for our so. To transition to his flat, motionless crib. This time around we are going to try to just use the crib. We will see though! Babies love to change our plans🤣

It was a lifesaver. My little guy loves to sleep in motion. Always has. We got the auto Rock N Play and we just transitioned around 4 months to the crib because he was getting too big for it. But it let him sleep longer stretches because he would startle himself awake and it would rock him back to sleep before he could really wake up.

We loved the rock n play. Our daughter slept in it for the first 2 weeks because I was worried to have her sleep in her room alone. Now she’s almost 2 months and she sits in it during the day.

We used ours constantly until maybe 4 months old. My daughter is big and tall and she outgrew it about then. it was a necessity for my daughter, more so than a swing.
