strict parents

i just turned 17 and went on my first exclusive date with a guy. i assured my parents that he and i are just friends, but they were still VERY apprehensive about letting me go. in fact, they wanted to meet him first but i managed to talk them out of it.

it went very well, and i’d like to hang out with him more this summer. how can i convince them to let me keep seeing him? i don’t see a need for them to meet him unless we get serious. right now it’s casual.
