Should I “owe” him money?

Okay, so i’ll try to make this as short as possible. But I have this guy friend named Justin who is basically in love with me. I mean yes, he is in love with me he has told me many times. We had a little thing at one point but that was almost 2 years ago and I’ve made it clear since then that we are JUST friends, nothing more. We just have a lot of mutual friends so we all end up hanging out pretty much every weekend when my baby daddy has my daughter for the weekend. So Justin is always trying to “win me over” I guess. And one of those ways is ALWAYS paying for a lot of my stuff no matter how much I BEG him not to. For instance, we will go bowling and when we are paying, Ill attempt to hand the person my card and he’ll snatch it out of my hand and pay for me. Recently, me and a bunch of friends were at a gas station in my car and we went in to get snacks and when I came back out, he had put 50$ into my tank. I didn’t ask or even hint that I wanted it. When we go out to eat, it’s the same as the bowling situation...he’ll pay for me before I even have a chance. I tell him ALL the time that I don’t want him paying for anything and I thank him a million times a day. I even tried paying him back some and he will absolutely not accept it. He also bought my daughter some expensive outfits that I didn’t ask for. Anyway, we recently had a BIG falling out and he started demanding that I pay him EVERYTHING back even though I didn’t ask for a loan in the first place. He said he wants his money and I owe him. I will most likely end up paying him back when I get the extra cash (I’m a young mom in college and on my own) because I feel like I do owe him...but is it fair that he demands his gift money back? Should I bring it up? It just feels like a difficult situation because I know I technically owe him money but just him demanding it after I begged him not to pay for me and didn’t ask for any of it confuses me and kind of annoys me.
