Advice please: Sex newbie

Hello everyone

I need some advice and insight please...

So I waited until I was married recently to start having sex. It was a bit of a rough start and a visit to the gynae revealed that I have a backwards facing uterus, which means some of the “standard” sex positions are uncomfortable for me. Other than that it doesn’t affect me in any other significant way.

Our method of birth control is latex free durex condoms and we use assegai lube. (Latex free because I thought our initial struggles were due to the latex. Turns out they weren’t, but we both preferred the latex free ones to the others).

It has been about 6 weeks since our wedding. If we have sex today, I’m not able to have sex comfortably again for a few days, and if we try before a few days have passed, it feels like chafing, and is really unpleasant for me.

Can anyone relate? If so, can you explain to me why this happens and share any tips you may have??
