My boyfriend wants to get married in a church but...

My boyfriend is catholic (with no chance of converting to another religion) and he told me that the only way that he wants to get married is in a church with a priest and i want this too as i know that this would make him so happy and its how i imagined to get married (even though I rarely go to church and marrying him is way more important to me that how we get married.

My parents on the other hand were catholics but converted to born again christians about 8 years ago (they arent the same thing). My boyfriend knows this and the fact that religions are different really worries him as he believes that my parents wouldnt allow me to get married in a catholic church.

He really wants me to tell them that when we will get married (which is in some years time) we will get married in a church. How can i bring up this topic and let them know that this is the only way that I will get married even though its not their religion? Has anyone been through something similiar?
