Toddler bed

My son is going to be two and a half in August. We still have him in his crib. He sleeps well and doesn’t climb out. Our pediatrician seems totally unconcerned and he’s still taking naps during the day. Is it weird that he’s still in his crib? We have no need for it for another baby (yet). Switch him to a toddler bed or let him go? We haven’t potty trained yet either, it we’re planning on starting that within the month.
