Birth Control - Freaking out!!!
Okay ladies! So I've posted on here quite a few times about complications with my combination pills. I've tried two different types and all the same symptoms plus some now.
Well, I told a nurse at my gynecologist's office because of my most recent period (super heavy and bad symptoms + it was only two days which is FAR from normal for me!) and she had me make an appointment and told me that the pills might not be for me and that my gynecologist might have me try the copper IUD.
I am TERRIFIED!
I go in next week to talk to her about my options, but I'm afraid that the IUD might be the only one left! I'm only on it for my irregular and awful periods, so I honestly don't care how effective it is against pregnancies (not sexually active and don't plan on it until marriage).
I'm terrified because I can't even put a tampon in without pain (I'm doing it right I even had my sister help me, it just hurts so bad!). How the heck am I supposed to have an IUD put in?!
Also, what if it doesn't work?? The pills I tried, they all helped the first 4 months but after that I started getting terrible symptoms that wouldn't go away. I stopped my pills for 2 weeks (issue with insurance and getting my pills refilled, so I was forced to go two weeks without them) and NO symptoms! They stopped after a couple days of not taking the pills. I felt AMAZING!
But how does it work with an IUD?? What if it doesn't work?? And how do they insert it? What's your own personal stories? Love it, hate it?
I need some personal experiences and not just information on doctor websites since they're generic.
Thank you!!
