Literally my country, the United States, is built on the motto by the people for the people. So I’d hope the hell not. To follow blindly is literally how dictatorships, authoritarians, and totalitarians come to be. If you have a problem, you should be able to question your government. They’re there for you, not the other way around. No matter what government you have, all government is supposed to work for you (or at least they’re supposed to)

This sounds very militant. Perhaps If I decided to join our armed forces I would abide by this. I couldn't do it as a citizen because I dont trust politicians very much.

I think it depends. If it is someone you personally believe in, and chose to lead you, yes. Otherwise why would you have trusted them? For example, my husband leads my family, I trust him completely. A president, governer, any government? No.
