Are you comfortable with a doctor of the opposite sex?

I had my my checkup today at the OBGYN (9 more weeks!!!) and I am now going weekly because of my pregnancy complications. They’ve been doing a “sweep” quite often, as well as ultrasounds, etc.

Today I was informed that my doctor (a female) would be out of the office until after my due date. I was told that my replacement doctor would be a male, which I then told them I wasn’t comfortable with that. The receptionist ladies kept asking me why, and explaining that I really didn’t have a choice. This made me uncomfortable all together, I can’t quite put my finger on why I don’t want a male doctor, but I just don’t. Is there anyone else who feels like this?
