Is it okay to judge others?

There is lots of judgement going around these days. What are your thoughts?

I think that if you put your question or comment out there, particularly in social media, you've opened yourself up to criticism, both positive and negative.

It's never "okay", but everyone does it no matter how badly they don't want to. It's part of human nature. And if you think you don't, you are lying to yourself.

God has blessed me with the ability to know the difference between right and wrong. I dont consider it 'judgement' in the sense that most people use the term if I am acknowledging something for what it is. I dont view the world through rose colored glasses.

We all do it, although I wish we didn't. Having thorough opinions is purely human, but when said opinions are negative it's more beneficial for you to keep your mouth shut.

No it's not okay and saying "It's going to happen anyway" doesn't excuse it. I agree posting something in a public forum opens the floor for people to respond with their thoughts or opinions (on your comments) but that still doesn't make it okay to be judgemental. That's the equivalent of saying "Well, if you don't want people gawking at you, don't go to public places" While there's a possibility of it happening; that doesn't make it appropriate.

There's a difference between conversing about a topic in an open forum and attacking someone because you've jumped to conclusions about their lifestyle based on a disagreement regarding a particular subject matter.

Having an opinion is great 
Judging someone because their opinion doesn't match yours... Not so much.

There IS a difference.
