Ovarian cysts?

Question

What caused you to believe that you had a OC? Symptoms? When and why did you [finally] see a Dr.? I may just be a hypochondriac but I'm kind of worried I may have one.

Oddly, I didn't have any pain with my cyst. I was slightly overweight and didn't notice anything odd at the time. I lost some weight and noticed that I had some bloating that was rock solid to the touch. I finally went to get checked and went through the process of an ultrasound and turned out I had a giant cyst in my left ovary. At the time of my surgery to remove the cyst, the Dr said I looked like I was 6 months pregnant. Lost an instant 10lbs after the surgery. Funny to think back on it, but I even had to use the restroom all the time just as if I actually were pregnant since there was pressure on my bladder from the cyst. This was back in early 2013. Now, for the past 1-1 1/2years, I have been getting sharp cramps every now and then. One day early this year, I had the most excruciating pain on my lower left side when I was driving home after class. I ended up driving myself to the ER when the pain didn't stop after 5 min. I was literally hunched over in pain when I got to the ER. When I was finally seen almost 2 hours later, the pain wasn't as bad anymore but after another ultrasound, it showed that I had a hemorrhaging cyst that ruptured.

I was 11, had just started my period shortly before, and ended up with severe lower abdominal pain. At first doctors couldn't figure it out because they were looking for appendix/gallbladder/intestinal problems and they literally told my mom I was fine and faking it basically. When I got the cysts, I would not do anything but sleep all the time and was not myself so my mom requested that I saw a gynecologist. The gynecologist quickly found the cysts and put me on birth control to control them. I'm now almost 19 and have been on BC for like 8 years and haven't had one since!

I had lots of pain on my lower right side. Had a ultrasound done and they found like 4 but the one that was causing me pain was big. It grew, and the doctor put me on bed rest. because of the size they didn't want it to burst and also wasn't allowed to work til after my surgery.
