second thoughts

So today is my birthday. In my grandma call me to wish me a happy birthday. Before she got off the phone she told me she want to throw me a baby shower. At first I had some questions because of everything that happened with her and my husband. She kinda convince me. Now almost two hours later im having second thoughts about it. I think at the baby shower everyone will be looking at me funny and talking about the incident. I want this to be a special time for me and not side eye me. I already have almost everything my daughter needs already. But I know every little bit helps. Do you ladies think I should tell my grandma no thanks. In if people really want give me a gift they can buy it or give a gift card. Or just let her throw it and take the silent and side eye?
