please help???

Question

my 3 year old barley says anything at all. He doesn’t talk and other 3 year olds even 2 year olds talk more than him and he’s such a smart kid. I try to help him everyday but, he runs off and play, am I alone with this. Do any of you guys toddlers does this. I feel like a failed mom, it’s so frustrating.

you need to have his doctor refer you to be evulated and get speech therapy. 
early intervention is very important.

(Hugs). Has your pediatrician said anything?  He may either be a quiet kid, or have a speech delay.  Either way, there are ways to resolve it, so don’t give up.
 
I am introducing more books, and encouraging my son to use his words more.  So rather than point to get something, ask them to use their words.
 
Emphasize full sentences “may I have...”, “no thank you” rather than short replies.  It will take time, so have patience, and stick with it.
