No I won’t file for child support!

My entire family and friends keep telling me that I should file for child support against my ex who abandoned me while pregnant and he’s made it clear he wants nothing to do with his son but no I don’t want his money

1) he’d have to go on the birth certificate that ain’t happening he ain’t no father and he doesn’t deserve that!

2) the money id get from him (if he actually agreed to pay) would just get taken out of my benefits anyway so I wouldn’t be getting no extra income!

3) he would be telling everyone how He pays for his son and supports him and would just use it as bragging rights

So yes im only 18 but I’ll be doing this on my own thank you! Don’t need no dead beats money !

Yes it does this is UK laws he would have to go on the birth certificate and he would have to sign it and benefits as in child tax credit etc.
