How can I spice up my sex life?

My boyfriend of 5 years and I have been talking about why we don’t have as much sex as I’d like, and he said we’re in a “sex rut” and we just do the same positions over and over again. 
What can we do to spice it up? We do me on top, him on top, him on top with my legs up, sideways, doggy, reverse cowgirl, me going down on him, him going down on me, 69.... idk what else we can really try. 
I guess recently it’s been bland? Idk. I’m just looking for suggestions as to how you ladies spiced things up a bit? We’re 22 and definitely shouldn’t be feeling like this.

Maybe it’s not the positions as much as the build up. The idea of sex always starting off the same way is probably the problem. If it always starts the same way, you immediately get the “done this” feeling and it becomes a routine. Catch him off guard, be flirty, tease a bit throughout the day and then just let the moment hang. Make ordinary moments sexy ones. Maybe trade nude massages. Pay attention to areas on his body you might typically “pass over”. Play a mental game of avoiding the most erogenous zones until he’s all worked up.

I suggest getting some sex toys. I’m not big on toys but I do have a yoga ball, leg spreader and some pink rope. That yoga ball is NOT for yoga 🙃 also try laying on your belly on the floor. Feels really good!
