I think I finally found out why after a year of marriage

So on the 10th it will be my one year anniversary with my husband and our sex life well I wouldn’t even call it a sex life.. I Can maybe say that we had sex about 8 times through are whole marriage I realize it is because he is afraid of me getting pregnant. Because the first 3 months of our marriage we only tried to have sex but never did I was a virgin for 3 months then he told me it was because he didn’t want me to get pregnant so soon what do you guys think
