Stomach bug?

So we have managed to avoid a stomach bug up until this point, but this morning my two year old sat up in bed, said good morning, and then gagged for about 3 minutes. We then got out of bed, and she threw up twice before about 9 am. She was definitely not feeling herself, and laid on the couch watching cartoons. By 9:30-10:00 am she began telling me she was hungry, thirsty, and wanted to play. I let her get up to play, and gave her small amounts of food. She was fine the rest of the day, playing and acting normal, and eating everything I gave her. She never had a fever, or diarrhea. Does this sound like a mild stomach bug? Is it possible her symptoms will return? We are currently living with my parents, so I have done my best to keep things contained and clean, but worried about spreading it through the house! Does this sound normal for a virus?
