Fiancé is going to be gone a lot for work 😕 advice??

So my fiancé is a plumber and he just got offered a job in a traveling position. He would still be in the state, but would be staying the nights places. It varies how much. He will always be off of work on saturdays and sundays. But he may be gone monday-fridays some weeks, sometimes twice a week, sometimes three, sometimes just a night a week, etc.

He told me about it today and asked my opinion on it. He would get a really great raise, and he seemed excited like he really wanted to do it but he told me he wouldn’t take it if I wasn’t okay with it. I told him I would be fine and he should go!! And I really am excited for him but I’m still sad. Right now we both work Monday through Friday. He gets off at 3 and I get off at 5. So we see each other a lot.

I also am a part time student and all of my classes are online right now. So at least I can keep myself kind of busy with that. And ofcourse I can see some friends and family members. But I’m still sad. 😕 Does any of your SO’s work where they have to leave often? Is it difficult or lonely? I know this seems like no big deal compared to women (or men) who have SO’s in the military, but for the last 3 years we have seen each other almost every day. We also just got a house together and I’ve never stayed here completely alone 😂 lol
