My husband says I’m an alcoholic
I don’t want criticism, I just want to know who’s in the wrong?
I drank for the first time at 15 and I haven’t drank anything until I was 17 and at that point I didn’t even get drunk, I’d have a glass of wine at dinner. At 18 I got drunk one time to where I puked (first time puking) in my opinion I don’t drink very often or get drunk very often. At 17 to 18 I’ve probably got drunk (or got buzzed) 5 times give or take. We had a party last weekend and I drank, but I only got buzzed not full on drunk and he kept calling me an alcoholic.
His family never drinks so it’s unusual for him.
Ps I am 18 turning 19 soon. I know I’m young but I’m an adult and can handle myself and I know my limit and take it slow. I don’t do any other drugs (my husband as a 19 yo dips smokeless tobacco which is also illegal age where I live) and I don’t go crazy I also don’t go behind people’s backs to drink and I don’t drink alone. My family knows and is fully aware of it (there is always someone who isn’t drinking who can drive). I don’t leave the house or start fights. Even when I’m drunk I can control myself.
Add-on:
It doesn’t effect my day to day life. It isn’t a concern to me or anyone else. My husband occasionally drinks a beer while he plays his games so I don’t know why he gets so mad at me for having a glass of wine at dinner. It doesn’t effect my health or my lifestyle. I’m not dependent on it
