I've been having contractions for the past 48hrs. They've been about 10mins apart until now.

How far along are you? You need to let your doctor or midwife know. Are you experiencing any bleeding,  weird discharge, or feeling like you are peeing uncontrollably (water breaking) you may want to call your hospital and let them know they may tell you to come in and do the non stress test. If you are not having any other abnormal symptoms, conditions and baby is healthy and right on schedule I was told that you want to wait to go to the hospital until the contractions are 4 minutes apart lasting about 1 minute during and has been going on for 1 hour. 411. If you go in too early in labor and everything is fine they might send you home.  Regardless contact your doctor/midwife or doula they will know what your best course of action is.
