40+ 4 and being induced tonight!
I had a regular visit with my midwife tonight and I mentioned I thought the baby was moving a little less so they did a no stress test and said it was text book, but also ordered a bio physical profile to confirm everything was good. She also said that the BPP was a 10/10, although I did have a little more fluid than normal so they’re going to induce me at some point tonight once a bed opens up!
So right now we are headed to eat lunch and try to take a nap at our midwives suggestion and wait for the call from the hospital that they have a bed for us! My midwife said my cervix is favorable so I will start right with pitocin but will start low and be given an ivy so I can walk around. Anyone have an tips that made the induction easier? I am so happy to hear I will be able to move, but nervous because it I’ve read many things about pitocin making contractions more severe and I would like to avoid an epidural if possible, but will get one if I feel necessary.
