Dresscode hairstyles for boys...

👑G

So I just wanted to get other opinions. My son will be starting Prek-3 this month and it will be his very first year in school. The school he's going to requires uniforms, which I have no problem with. The problem I have is with boy haircuts and what they will allow or won't allow. I just think times have changed and alot of boys wear their hair longer and the rules should be changed with the times. This is the exact same dress code they had when my husband was in school here. I've been growing out my sons hair all summer just to find out I have to cut it. I personally don't see a problem with boys having long hair, if it's such a distraction why not let them pull it back or have a bun or braids? This is word for word what the dress code says for hair. My issue is not with coloring their hair and only about haircuts. I'll post a pic below of the haircut I wanted for him before I found out dresscode. **************************************** HAIR- All students’ hair shall be kept clean, neat, and well groomed. No distracting haircuts or hairstyles (such as hair designs, spiked hair, fades, any form of a Mohawk, numbers, names, initials, etc., or under cuts are not allowed). Hard parts should look l (thin line only). Boy’s hair should not extend below a standard dress shirt collar, middle of the ear, and must not extend below the eyebrow. Boys are not permitted to wear ponytails or braids. Hair coloring or dyeing of hues that do

not occur in any natural human hair is prohibited. Two-tone hair styles are not acceptable. Example: Top blonde and bottom dark (Ombre hair color should blend in with natural hair color). NO shaving of eyebrows will be accepted.***

This is very similar how I was hoping to cut his hair...
