How do you end a long term relationship?

Some of you might think it’s a no brainer, but I’ve been with my fiancé for a year and a half. We live together and we were ttc. (Of course we stopped) he cheated on me 2/3 months ago. He sent a random girl his nudes. He met this girl on 4chan and then got her kik and they exchanged nudes and he jerked off to her. I found out last week (Monday) and sometimes I’m okay.. but then I start to think about what he did. I get so fucking angry and upset and I just want to never talk to him again. But the dumb side of me that is dependent on him, well, I can’t imagine him not being with me or me not being able to talk to him. It hurts. Everything hurts.

Just a little advice. You never get over these situations so I’d say move on if that’s what your gut tells you. I stayed 7 years with a guy because I thought he’d change or never do it again but since the first time I found out he cheated my gut told me it wasn’t right to forgive him and I never listened.

If you’re anything like me you won’t get over it. It’s hard to move on but when you find the right person you will be 1 million times happier again. 
I was in a relationship for three years and he cheated on me on a night out kept denying it but I saw proof. I kept thinking about for over a year and ngl it kinda gave me trust issues and depression the more I thought about it. I thought I would never be happier with anyone else. We finally broke up I was devastated but within a week my current partner I actually met at school messaged me and we went out and go to know each other and then got together and when I told my ex I had moved on I got the nastiest messages I would never wish for anyone to get and he stilll to this day tries to get back with me I have blocked him on so many accounts so I guess I was the winner in this in the end since he can’t over me but he hurt me and I moved on. I even have one beautiful daughter and another on the way and couldn’t be happier.

Ending a long term relationship is extremely hard. Its rough on you and the other person. You have to sit down and talk and say you cant do it anymore and give the ring back.. my conversation with my ex was 3 hours. We were together 7 years. I moved out to my moms the next morning and gave the ring back. We were supposed to be married in 2 months from that time. I'm now with my husband and I'm glad I left my ex.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. That's a mess of a situation, and only you can make the final judgement on whether or not this is a deal breaker for you or if your relationship and trust can recover.
Maybe you can and you'll both learn something important about yourselves and each other through this experience. Everyone is different.
But personally, I would never be able to trust him again. I know I personally hold grudges for a million years when someone knowingly, intentionally, maliciously wrongs me. 
But if I found out my fiance valued the instant gratification of recieving nudes from some 4chan stranger (who literally couls have been fake for all he knew, like she literally could have just been some gross basement dweller who makes edgy memes for /pol/  and was stealing pictures from cam girls to get attention and nudes from strangers on the internet jfc) more than my love, trust, support, and his place in a future we could build together... I would leave immediately. My heart would be broken, but I know my presence in a relationship is worth way more than some nudes and I know yours is too.

There are SO many men out there. Think about how you’ll find someone amazing who will never give you a reason to doubt his loyalty. Please leave this guy. He was caught once and didn’t change. Now he knows he can do whatever he wants and you’ll stay. No kids are involved so bail for your own mental sanity. You’ll be ok, I promise.
